Q:(same anon) No, I think it's great- to write an intro of sorts. :) But when you said you can't make personal bias statements, you did by claiming the fanbase was at ease when it is very specifically NOT. Also, so what Laura made the comment? Twilight is a misogynistic YA romance with no sex or violence. It's nothing like Bitten. There are much better series to compare it to, since as the producer pointed out it is NOT twilight in any way. So it's misleading, the opposite to what you meant.

It is a tough job, speaking for an entire fanbase when so many people have so many different opinions on the changes made to the show. If you look to the article, while I was fixing those (embarassing) typos I changed the line about Bryk’s tweet to say: “Greg Bryk attempts to put their minds at ease with…” I think this leaves it at the most accurate statement - he is attempting to ease our minds, where he is successful with some, but not all of the fans. I hope you agree that this is a fitting way of describing his message to the fans. If you look through the tags on twitter and tumblr alone, I see fans saying they’re okay with it, and I see fans saying they’re still against it.
I’m sorry to say I wasn’t aware that twilight was misogynistic. I never really paid much attention to the books or movies after the first few. They weren’t enjoyable or relatable to me, I’m not even sure I could claim to have read the books… it was more like skimming through, waiting for something to catch my interest. No offence to the author of course, just not my style. In regards to the article though, I think it’s perfectly clear that while initially the basics of the worlds Armstrong and Meyer have created seem a tiny bit alike, in reality they are very much not.
